I am doing a project for school where we have to choose 20 of history's most significant persons in a category and tell about their significance. I want to include someone from Han China, but I am not sure who. I was going to use Sima Yan, but I am not sure if he can be considered the most significant. I am at a standstill, I can't decide. There are a few circling around in my mind, but I am overall not able to choose.
Who do you think was the most significant Han China ruler (this includes the Three Kingdoms era) and what makes him so signifiant?

Han Wudi.
Basically, he conquered many lands, protected China for like his whole reign, and driven the non-Han Chinese tribes away. Explains why the majority of us call ourselves the Han, even up to today.
If you're looking for an economically significant Emperor, then search on the Tang Dynasty.
Whatever happens, DO NOT include Wu Zetian. Even though she was the only female Emperor ever to rule China, she was corrupt and wasn't brought up to deal with a whole Empire. That's why a lot of people hate her, not because she was a woman. Also, she had MALE CONCUBINES. I mean, female concubines I can understand, but male concubines...!
